A Conference recognises the work of Aerial Photographer Derrick Riley

A day conference, jointly organised by the Hunter Archaeological Society, the Yorkshire Archaeological and Historical Society and the University of Sheffield, celebrated the work of two pioneering aerial photographers who set the scene for future developments in aerial reconnaissance. Derrick Riley was a Sheffield man flying mainly over eastern England and abroad, and William Arnold Baker was based in the West Midlands.
The Conference was held on Saturday 29 March 2025 in The Creative Lounge, The Workstation, Paternoster Row in Sheffield S1 2BX.
