Friends of Meersbrook Hall formed

A new group has been formed in response to concerns about the deterioration of empty Meersbrook Hall, the 18th century building connected with bankers Benjamin Roebuck and Samuel Shore, and later the Ruskin Museum.
The Friends are meeting every other Monday at 6pm and they are starting to form sub-groups and work on fundraising. They aim to offer tours of the hall and are preparing to train tour guides. The hall is likely to be open during Heritage Open Days. See https://meersbrookhall.org.uk
