PDNPA celebrate their 75th anniversary with tree planting

On its 75th anniversary this week, our chair Ken Smith, Chair of the Peak District National Park Authority, with Chief Executive Officer Phil Mulligan, planted one of the Sycamore Gap saplings at Aldern House, their Bakewell HQ.
Not only is Ken also celebrating his 75th birthday, but his planting of the sapling represents his career of protecting and conserving the National Park’s heritage and the enduring legacy of Sycamore Gap. Propagated saplings from the original Sycamore Gap tree will be planted across all fifteen UK National Parks.
